Stephane, I don't personally use the 'perfect wordpress htaccess file' hack, so I can't comment. I recommend contacting the author directly. I'm just linking to guides, and don't have any speciality knowledge in that area. HTACCESS is incredibly finicky, so I'm not going to venture a suggestion without being sure what I'm talking about.

As a new user of Wordpress, but as an experimented user with joomla, I need some help for my htaccess file. Indeed, I tried to use the "almost perfect wordpress htaccess file". However I do not know if I need to insert these elements within #begin wordpress... #end wordpress which has been automatically created by the permalink options... I tried the /%postname/ rewrite, but I still get a 500 error.

How to make this htaccess work with my /%postname/ permalink?

HELP
