On the passage of Karol Wojtyla

I fully agree he was a great man
if by great, you mean great change
and if by change,
you mean he kept all things the same
I fully agree he was a hero
if by hero,
you mean brave enough to resist
the voices of reason,
crying in the wilderness.
Did you see the funeral?
Oh magnificent
marching retinue of plague,
What succubian animus feminae,
What gorgeous ranks of sinning,
yet beloved gays.
What dramatic paul bearing ‘insurgents’,
who were to hang their heads,
and drop their arms
Let imperial conquistadors,
ravage their priests,
and burn out their reforms
I fully agree, his passage is a tragedy
if as I suspect,
it leads to another
as unjustifiably ‘perfect’
