Unstilled water, fair do count the year
each slipping trickle stream, each false dawns rakish fleer
and o’er the meadow where her name be heard
amidst the marigolds and onion birds
there lurks the stifled glance and hung tongued unspoke word
there lurks the piteous fidelity of unsung love
